Meadow Lake Campground Meadow Lake Campground
Meadow Lake is a beautiful high elevation lake in the Tahoe National Forest. Activities here include boating (small craft only), swimming or riding the nearby (OHV) trails. There is no garbage service provided, so please make sure that what you pack in, you pack out. There is no water available here either so, pack enough for cooking, dish-washing and drinking. If you have any questions or concerns, a campground host is onsite to assist you. Each site has a table, food locker and fire pit/grill combo.

Meadow Lake is also a popular spot for off-highway vehicle (OHV) enthusiasts as there are nearby trails to access. The Fordyce Jeep Trail and the annual Sierra Trek event in early August. At that time, CA4WDC arranges with Pacific Gas & Electric to restrict water flow in Fordyce Creek to passable levels. Expert spotters and winches are provided at five critical points and no vehicle is ever left behind. The Fordyce Jeep Trail is 11.9 miles long. It begins at 12e45 Pierce OHV Trail and ends at Meadow Lake Forest Road 0843-017. The trail is open to all Off Highway Vehicles (OHV). Recommended for experts only.

An informal boat launch provides access to Meadow Lake.
