Reservations for the 2024 Season

"FCFS"= First Come First Served

Begining April 15th at 8am reservations will be open for all stays 7 or more days. 

Reservations for less than one week can be made beginning April 22nd at 8am. 

  • Please note that reservations made between April 15th and April 22nd  cannot be modified and cancellation will result in forfeiture of 100% of the associated fees.
  • Failure to arrive at the campground within 24 hours of check-in on the first date of a reservation will result in the forfeiture of the reservation and all associated fees. Campground hosts will then be able to rent the site to another party. 

Some of our campgrounds are first come first serve only and do not accommodate reservations and some of our campgrounds are open year-round. 

Fire Restrictions

California continues to experience critically dry conditions affecting lakes and reservoirs throughout the state. Please be aware that this will likely impact the PG&E recreation facilities regarding the use of open flames and fire.

Last Chance Creek Campground - Closed 2024 Last Chance Creek Campground is a great location for the whole family to enjoy the fun of Lake Almanor and Last Chance Creek in gorgeous Northern California. The secluded campground is close to where the creek empties into Lake Almanor well known for its beauty and wide range of activities.

In the spring, keep an eye out for white pelicans, which make their home around the lake. Visitors will find 12 campsites, offered by first-come first-serve or through our on-line reservation system. There are no hookups but a double vault toilet is available.

Group camping is also available at the Last Chance Creek Campground. There is 3 campsites which can accommodate up to 30, 40, or 60 people each. Each campsite has a fire ring, barbecue, wooden storage cabinets, and picnic tables. The spacious campground has piped water and vault toilets. A 2-night minimum stay is required. The campground has a horseshoe pit and a volleyball area. Horses are welcome in the group campground in sites #13-25. Bear boxes are not available at this location so please be prepared to lock your food in your car with the windows securely up.
